Powder Coating Paintline Lead

Job Summary
Prepares and hangs parts for paint line production and/or packs completed products for shipping preparation. Sets up, operates, and/or tends machines to coat or paint any of a wide variety of products.
Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all jobs responsibilities within the department at an expert level
Functions as the go-to person in the department
Receives daily work schedule; distributes and reviews work assignments on a daily basis
Coaches, mentors and works with all team members in their specific work areas to facilitate the accomplishment of daily tasks
Monitors quality of work performed by team members.
Provides a brief daily report to the supervisor or manager regarding operational issues or concerns that occurred during the shift; keeps supervisor informed of overall shift work outputs
Ensures the proper and efficient use of department equipment and supplies.
Ensures compliance with the required work procedures and safety requirements as established by the company
Initiates informal problem-solving.
Provides general input on employee's performance to supervisor.
Takes headcount for department during emergency evacuations
Maintains the accuracy of the paint log
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong work ethic
Above average oral and written communication skills
Possesses strong technical knowledge of total powder coating operation with the ability to train others
Role model for regular attendance
Experience and Education
High School Diploma or GED
1 - 3 years experience in the powder coating operation
Ability to read blueprints desired
Lead role or supervisory experience a plus
Equivalent combination of education and experienceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
