The position of Parts Inventory Control Clerk is for our 12-hour shift, 6 a.

QUALITY STATEMENT:
It is the responsibility of the Parts Inventory Control Clerk to:

  • Identify and stop further processing on non-conformances related to products, processes, or the quality systems.
  • Take action to prevent non-conformities related to the product produced, services, provided or the LP9000 management system.
  • Make suggestions for improvement and verify the implementation of solutions.
  • Know the location of and understand their control plans, work instructions and specifications.


Qualifications:

  • Must be able to write legibly and have good math skills.
  • Ability to make basic arithmetic calculations requiring addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Possess computer and good communication skills.
  • Show knowledge of maintenance tools.
  • Exercise safe work practices at all times.
  • Possess the ability to work effectively with others and be a team member.
  • Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must demonstrate ability to successfully complete the required training.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Contact Branch 79 for parts that are not in stock.
  • Maintain orderly arrangement of all parts and supplies.
  • Safe guarding inventories against theft, preventable waste, and unauthorized use.
  • Maintaining and processing accurate inventory records.
  • Keep daily records of the Out of Parts Sheet and note any suggestions for changes.
  • Issue Parts and tools.
  • Cross train to fill in on any shift when Parts Room Partners are gone for any reason.
  • Assist in handling incoming phone calls to Parts Room.
  • Inspecting, receiving, and stocking inventory as needed.
  • Assist with inventories
  • Identify damaged inventory.
  • Deliver goods to and from vendors or customers.
  • Print labels and tag incoming parts for scanning.
  • Create, prepare and kit work orders as necessary.
  • Recognize wrong parts and take the appropriate action to correct the problem.
  • Assist TPM/Parts Room Superintendent when necessary.
  • Follow instructions and work under general supervision.
  • Must wear appropriate clothing, earplugs, and safety glasses and follow safety regulations.
  • Cycle count parts in stock room.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Assist in training other employees as needed.
  • Maintain the assigned areas in a clean condition, following 6 s procedures.
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement process.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Be able to perform any other tasks related to the operation of the department as directed by the department supervisor.
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned.
